Breathwork

The Breath

Our constant companion on this earth.

Just like I found yoga nidra, I found breathwork by accident while living in Florida at the Ashram, Amrit Yoga Institute. The institute closed during the pandemic so I feel privileged and honored to have studied there on the campus before it closed. I would stay in Gurudev’s house in the guest room separate from his space and there was a magical feeling in that, as he would take daily lips in the lake.

I stayed at the ashram one weekend with my step-daughter for some R&R and there was a breath workshop happening that I joined , this is where my journey began. I took that class and then went back in the spring to learn breathwork and little did I know it would change my life forever! The teacher was Carol Lampman and she was in her seventies and had studied with some of the greats like Stan Groff and Leonard Orr and then developed her own work. I would go on to learning from her at a Master Level and use my breath every day for my own healing. She really taught me how to be a shaman of the breath, how to heal childhood trauma using the breath as a gateway to get to the memory and to use the breath to integrate the memory.

I would love to guide you into finding your breath again.
